A Little More Profile & Path
Didn't have time for much SolidWorks play today, but I did use the pierce command and a profile and path again - to make a thread. This is a very rough one with no finishing on the edges, but the general idea is here.
The profile (the trapezoid - "ThreadSection" in the illustration) and path (helical spiral) are highlighted in green:
