NASA's Lunar Electric Rover

Ok wow. The new vehicle for lunar exploration by NASA, the Lunar Electric Rover, is very cool. They are developing batteries that can go 500 miles on a charge for this. Oh yeah. About halfway into the video that is linked on that page, it shows the sideways crab movement and such mentioned in the article. And it's going to be the finale in the inaugural parade Tuesday - per the HSFNEWS Digest today.
